Prior to establishing Ivaska Builders, Ken operated two other companies: Pro Marble & Tile, which specialized in residential marble and tile installation, and Pro Kitchen & Bath, which specialized in tile and bath design and renovation. Ken’s design aesthetic, eye for detail, extensive knowledge and experience in all aspects of home construction and remodeling, coupled with his collaborative style, distinguish's him in Chicago as an industry leader.
Andy is Ken's right-hand man. Andy hails from Poland, is married and a proud father of a son. Andy’s expertise lies in project management and project coordination. He possesses extensive knowledge and experience in electrical systems and residential plumbing. Andy brings expertise, enthusiasm and dedication to customer service, to every home-improvement and remodeling project Ivaska Builders takes on.

This renovation of a 2,200 square foot apartment recasts existing cellular spaces into a residence that recognizes the horizon's strong presence, framing it at eyelevel and maximizing the use of abundant natural daylight and cross ventilation. The "strong bones" of the building delineate two interior axes that organize space and movement. Living spaces face east and bedrooms west, with circulation organized in relation to light and views.
